This reminds me of the occasion when I ordered a cup of green tea on Folkestone's now-trendy Harbour Arm. The young girl who served me with a cup of boiling water in which was hung a tea bag told me how to leave a tip before I paid. As all she had done was put water on a bag in the cup, leaving me effectively to make my own tea, I haven't been planning on leaving a tip but I felt churlish for not doing so so I did leave one. I am the sort of person who will almost always leave a tip unless the service has been dreadful. I'm not a big tipper and try to keep it around the 10% mark, more or less depending on how good I think it was.
